Set to take place on 4th March 2019 in Tel Aviv, CryptoGib Tel Aviv will bring together some 250 leading figures of the crypto space and blockchain innovation systems from both communities.

Gibraltar and Israel are two of the world’s leading jurisdictions, powerhouses, as Crypto Gibraltar describes them, of the crypto and fintech space. With Israel and Gibraltar both enjoying close business relationships, Crypto Gibraltar and Tel Aviv Fintech Week have joined forces to set up this opportunity for leading thinkers, professionals and entrepreneurs to come together to explore innovation and opportunities for cooperation and collaboration for the benefit of both DLT communities.

The event will bring together internationally-renowned speakers and experts to discuss the latest developments in the world of blockchain and cryptocurrencies. The venue for the event is the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange Conference Centre, located at the very heart of Tel Aviv. While the agenda is yet to be finalised, issues to be discussed are likely to include: the future of ICO’s, SCO’s and cryptofunds; compliance, standardisation and certainty for blockchain based fundraising, and opportunities for mutually-beneficial cooperation between the crypto communities of Israel and Gibraltar.

Gibraltar is one of the world’s first jurisdictions to regulate businesses working with distributed ledger technology, having established the relevant regulatory framework on 1st January 2018. Gibraltar’s regulator, the Gibraltar Financial Services Commission, has since issued licences to five firms, with more applications currently under consideration. Furthermore, regulations for token sales are now under preparation. Gibraltar has positioned itself as a world-leader, providing crypto operators with the framework they require to create certainty and confidence for their customers and investors.

Israel has won international renown for its vibrant innovation ecosystem, with companies the like of Microsoft, Facebook and Amazon tapping into Israel’s technological capabilities by setting up numerous R&D labs in the country to work on their most cutting-edge products. Israel’s tech community benefits from the support of Israel Innovation Authority, a central government agency that fosters innovation in a variety of industries.
